Our second meet of the season has come to a close. First, a word of congratulations to all our Barracuda swimmers on their outstanding performances. Coach Meredith and I were so proud of your focus and improvement.
A special congrats goes out to Kelly Koistenin on her first swim meet ever! Her nerves backed down quickly, and she rocked her events. Also, Jacob Costantino participated in his first year round meet ever this past weekend. He was so cool and confident that we didn't realize until halfway through the day that he had never been to a sanctioned meet before.

Some other meet highlights:
Now that we are two meets in, we are working on setting new goals or amending old ones from last month and evaluating our long-term goals for the season. Make sure you keep your goal sheets where you can look them over. Write them on your bathroom mirror! Staple them in your agenda! Tape them to your bedroom door! Do whatever you need to do to make sure they are visible and referable.
- Makayla Dhabolt broke her three season curse on the 100 IM, dropping 3.8 seconds!
- The 200 Crew: Mia Bates, Jenna Crow, Taylor Erickson, Daniel Hernandez, Mary Murdock, and Merrideth Wood all completed their very first 200 Freestyle. There were some tears and mild freak-outs, but they all completed the event and swam some awesome times.
- Alyssa Dailing swam the 500 Free for the first time. Fantastic!
